This is the Christmas cookie recipe that I grew up with, each Christmas my siblings and I would help our Mom make the dough, roll it out, cut and bake and decorate!
I think most people have a holiday memory of making sweets. Those are the memories we remember from the holidays, not the presents we got each year, but the moments we spent together that we will forever cherish. Here is the recipe for Christmas cookies from my holiday memories! I hope you enjoy!
1 Cup Butter (2 sticks) – soft, not melted
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
3 1/2 Cups Flour (I use GF Flour)
2 tsp Cream of Tarder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
Mix all ingredients together (add the flour slowly) and let the dough chill for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Roll out dough and use cookie cutters to create your Christmas/Holiday cookies!
Bake for 6-8 minutes at 375º or until golden brown.
