Color Your World with Love – Valentine Crayons

Looking for a fun and unique Valentine’s Day project with the kiddos? Do you have a bazillion old crayons?

Make heart shaped crayons! These are perfect for an alternative Valentine’s Day exchange for the classroom (other parents will appreciate it too… less sugar!) or just use at home!

Ingredients:

Crayons

Muffin Tin – Nonstick (Regular / Heart Shaped/ Mini)

Silicone Heart Shaped Cupcake Liners (optional)

Vegetable Spray * Optional with a non-stick tin, but I’m not willing to take my chances

{I’m going to use a regular muffin tin (a heart shaped muffin tin or heart silicone holders aren’t exactly kitchen staples, so if you have those (want to go get them) feel free to use them… they make them SUPER cute!)}

Directions:

Preheat oven to 275°

Peel off all of the paper from the crayons

Lightly spray your muffin tin with vegetable spray (or insert your silicone liners into    each spot)

Break the crayons into pieces

Pick your colors for each creation and place the pieces of crayons in the tray

Bake at 275° for 7-8 minutes

Take out and allow to cool to room temperature then put into the freezer for 20-30 minutes. They should pop right out!
